Adaptive Sports Center Launches New Winter Camps by Erin English, Adaptive Sports Center Crested Butte, Colorado-based Adaptive Sports Center (ASC), a nationally-recognized nonprofit that provides life-enhancing outdoor adventure activities to people with disabilities, is launching several cool new programs this season. From Nordic to Alpine, ‘Boarding to Ski Biking, Snowshoeing to….? For 2008-09, ASC is offering its ever-popular slate of winter programming -- including alpine skiing, snowboarding and ski biking, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing -- along with winter excursions (ice-climbing, hut trips and backcountry skiing to name a few), and a handful of specialized winter camps. Individuals of all ages with physical and cognitive-related disabilities, as well as families and groups, are invited to participate in ASC’s programming. |
